A Florida native, Lawrence was raised in Ocala and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree and for law school.  He came to Orlando in 1996 to work as a prosecutor with the 9th Judicial Circuit, where he gained extensive litigation experience.  He worked as a prosecutor for over 10 years, most recently as a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor in the Orlando Bureau, part of the Attorney General's office.  He has handled hundreds of litigation cases, including complex "white-collar" cases involving securities fraud and racketeering.  With the Tate Firm, Lawrence turns his experience to complex litigation matters, both criminal and civil. This includes business litigation for our corporate clients and divorce litigation that involves special matters.

Hobbies and Interest

  • Mr. Collins featured in USA's hit show Burn Notice, playing the role of a FBI agent and also a Judge.
  • In addition to his acting career, Mr. Collins performs stand up comedy routines at local Orlando hotspots.
